(Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung, BAM, Berlin, Germany)
Originally from Canada, I completed my PhD at the University of Edinburgh, UK (theoretical solid state chemistry) and Novosibirsk State University, Russia (experimental solid state chemistry). I moved to Berlin as a postdoctoral researcher at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM), Germany, with focus on the time-resolved study of mechanochemical reactions using synchrotron radiation. I am currently a Senior Scientist at the BAM in the Department of Materials Chemistry and a guest scientist in physical and theoretical chemistry at the Free University, Berlin, where my research focuses on combining experiment and simulation to better understand the mechanochemical reactivity of solids.
